Yahel offers country-style guest accommodations in the heart of the Arava Valley at the Ma’ayan BaMidbar (“a spring in the desert”) Guesthouse.
The complete guest complex is called Tsel Tmarim – which means shaded by date palms. If you get up early, you’ll see the most spectacular sunrise imaginable as the sun clears the ridgeline of the red-tinted Mountains of Edom.
Yahel is located just 60 km (37 miles) north of Eilat.
We offer 43 comfortable, air-conditioned guest rooms, fully furnished and recently renovated, set amid lush greenery with the primal Arava desert wilderness as the backdrop. Suitable for couples, families, and groups.
All our guestrooms have modern en suite bathrooms and small kitchenettes with a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee / tea corner, plus satellite TV and Wi-Fi.
The Guesthouse campus is handsomely landscaped with plenty of tree-shaded seating, pergolas, barbecue areas, and breathtaking desert views.
Ample guest parking is situated close to your room.
During the long Arava swimming season, guests enjoy lounging by the kibbutz pool. A carefully tended lawn beckons, with plenty of shade and nice comfy lawn chairs. There’s a shaded kiddie pool, too.
The Ma’ayan BaMidbar Guesthouse at Yahel offers scenic desert walking trails and short bike trails within walking distance of your room. A few minutes’ drive away are all the southern Arava attractions, including longer hiking and biking routes and a variety of tourist sites.
